Lito Carandang, Director of Business & Administration 864.331.3908

Lito was born and educated in Manila, Philippines. He traveled to Cleveland, OH in 1972 where he worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Northeast Ohio as Medicare auditor and studied in the evening to earn his MBA at Baldwin Wallace College in 1977. Lito and his family moved to South Carolina in 1986 and was a CFO/CEO of a private hospital until 2002. His divine appointment is aligned with the helpless and poor children living in the streets of Manila.  Together with his brothers and sisters they committed sponsoring a child with leukemia and other destitute children needing medical care.  For him retirement is not an option.  He believes that as we grow older there is much to offer, including wisdom, experience, knowledge, commitment, leadership and many other things of value.

Stephanie Stewart, Office Manager & Personal Assistant 864.331.3903

Stephanie began working for the Catholic Church in 1997 at Our Lady of the Rosary in Greenville as the Parish Secretary.  In 2010, she joined the staff of Prince of Peace as Office Manager.  Stephanie converted to Catholicism in 1997 and is the mother of 5 children who, along with her husband, share her love of the Latin Mass. She attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio for two years studying  Physics and Astronomy.  She continues to love stargazing, science and aeronautics.

 Lara Pennell, Director of Christian Formation 864.331.3919

Lara Pennell is a graduate of the University of Dallas with a degree in Psychology as well as extensive study in Catholic Theology and Philosophy.  She was a teacher for four years, a university residence director for three years, youth group director/Student council director for 6 years, a retreat leader for five years and RCIA speaker.  She has been married to her husband Michael for twenty years and is also the mother of six homeschooled children.

 Stephanie Lasitter, Director of Youth 864.331.3905

Stephanie Lasitter was born in West Chicago, IL and raised in Simpsonville, South Carolina. She graduated from Belmont Abbey College with a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Theology with concentrations in both Youth Ministry and the Pro-Life Movement.  Stephanie is happily married to her husband, John and they are expecting their first child in April of 2012. She has served on the diocesan staff for various high school retreats and once was the Main Coordinator for her household in college.

 

Irene Ponce, Bookkeeper 864.331.3909

Irene has been a parishioner at Prince of Peace for 23 years after moving from Wichita, KS and has worked part-time in the parish office for 19 years after being hired by Fr Seitz.  She has two sons and four grandchildren.  A widow for 20 years, she shares her home with her dog Angel and they cover quite a bit of mileage daily.  Irene enjoys varied workouts at a local gym and keeps busy with yard work, reading, cooking and helping out at the Soup Kitchen.

Lauren Tate, Receptionist 864.331.3901

LaurenLauren is our newest addition to the staff. She graduated from Clemson with a BA in English Literature. Lauren handles the main switchboard, welcomes visitors to the office, edits the parish bulletin and schedules requests for Mass Intentions.

Brent Hohman, Assistant 864.268.4352

Brent assists in helping in the office and around campus. His main passion is photography and has a photography business: Station Twelve Photography and a film studio business: The Momentum Studio. Some of the lovely videos and pictures  we have published have been courtesy of Brent.

 

 

Alan Reed, Director of Music 864.331.3904

Alan Reed has served as Director of Music since 2004 when he came to Prince of Peace having served in the Lutheran Church for nearly twenty years.  His work includes directing 4 choirs and administering the music ministry program.  Alan is at home working with choristers ranging in age from elementary school through adults and has seen tremendous musical growth in the choirs at Prince of Peace.

In addition to parish work, Alan and his wife, Jeanie, are the founding directors of Chicora Voices, the Children’s Choir of Greenville.

He welcomes conversation regarding Sacred Music from all parishioners, especially with those parishioners whose children are interested in getting involved in one of the parish choirs.  It is an exciting time to be involved in singing at Mass at Prince of Peace!
