Social Apostolate

Prince of Peace Catholic Church supports many social outreach groups within the parish and some outside the parish.

The St Vincent de Paul Society helps with food and utility assistance for those in the local area. While it is technically a non-affiliated group, it is staffed by hard-working volunteers from Prince of Peace and the church provides space for the Society to conduct their important outreach ministry. They help many people every Monday morning in Croghan Hall. If you are interested in volunteering or supporting them with a monetary or item donation, please call 864.331.3937.

Our Transportation Ministry is for parishioners who, for whatever reason, are unable to drive. Mostly our driver volunteers bring them to Mass every week, but can also be available to transport them to important doctor’s appointments. If you would like to volunteer for this ministry, please contact Amy Morgan via email.

The Triune Mercy Soup Kitchen is a ministry that involves dedicated people from various churches in the Upstate. We host the Soup Kitchen on a rotational basis with many volunteers from Prince of Peace.

The Felician Sisters in Kingstree, SC have been supported by the parishioners of Prince of Peace for many years. The sisters have helped the poverty stricken area and their residents overcome many obstacles for the last 20 years. Prince of Peace continues to help the Sisters with specific drives for certain needed items and monetary donations. The Felicians have just been awarded the 2012 Lumen Christi Award from Catholic Extension.
