The Mass and Sacraments are celebrated at Prince of Peace in the Ordinary and Extraordinary Forms of the Roman Rite.  Prince of Peace enjoys a leadership role in Upstate South Carolina as the only parish which celebrates Mass regularly in two forms and in two languages, English and Latin.  The parish has been featured on The New Liturgical Movement blog for its commitment to restoring the sacred in worship.

Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament began in 2005 with the Guild of St Thomas Aquinas.  Please consider signing up for an hour of quiet prayer in front of Our LORD present in the Holy Eucharist.  Prince of Peace is a House of Prayer for All People.  Twenty-four hours and day, seven days a week, you will find men, women and children in prayer.

Prince of Peace Catholic School is one of the foremost schools in the State of South Carolina.  Founded by Monsignor Steven Brovey and now under the expert direction of noted Catholic educator Dr Michael Pennell, our school provides an excellent classical education in the Catholic tradition.  Come be a part of a vibrant academic community for families with children in grades K4 through 8.

Christian Formation includes classes under the direction of  Mrs. Stephanie Lasitter, a theologian from Belmont Abbey college, who ably guides the CYO program and prepares our 8th grade students for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  We also offer religious education programs (K5-8th) and preparation for First Confession and Holy Communion.  Please contact our Director of Christian Formation, Mrs. Lara Pennell at 864.704.4639.

Adult Christian Formation classes provide Scripture Studies as well as courses on everything from Church History and Spiritual Theology to Sacred Architecture and Catholic Literature.  Please follow your weekly Bulletin to see what is being offered this week at Prince of Peace.  We also provide Inquiry Classes for those are interested in knowing more about our Catholic Christian faith, as well as courses for Sacramental Preparation. For more information, contact Rev Richard Tomlinson

The Latin Mass Community provides a rich liturgical and spiritual experience for those Catholics attached to the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite in Latin.  They provide liturgical worship, catechesis, and hospitality for all who seek to better live their Catholic tradition in its fullness.

Our parish has a number of other Ministries which involve our valued Church Members in service to their parish family and local community.  There are too many to list here.  But you can find more information in the Weekly Bulletin at Mass, with contact information.  Here, there is a place for everyone and work for everyone to do.  Periodic Ministry Fairs and the publication of a Ministry Guide will help you find the niche God is preparing for you here at Prince of Peace.

Have you become an Active, Registered and Contributing Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church?  Stand up and be counted, and be one of us!  Please fill out our registration form and send it along with a picture, if you have one, to our Parish Office.  We are a parish of over 2000 families and growing, and it is exciting to be part of a community of Christian witnesses where so much good is going on.  We count on you!  We also welcome members of the parish who are not in full communion with the Catholic Church or who for some reason are not able to regularly receive Holy Communion for some reason.  Don’t let not being in full communion with the Church keep you away from being a part of our community!
